How to say, have the experience, live it, feel it, register it, love it as part of life. Later you will understand. It´s okay to not understand, it´s okay to rest and do nothing, it´s okay to feel what you are feeling, it´s okay to feel your child appear.
Extend a hand to the other, give the other a drink of water, embrace the other, feel how anger covers up fear and sadness, feel body sensations and their emotional, visual, inner voice content.
Find your protector, push against, pull against, support, I don´t care, I don´t know, it´s okay to not know, to not care.
Observe the other´s breathing, posture, movement and accompany from there. Boundaries are invaded by interruption of voice, eyes, body, emotional climate, noise.
Mindfullness with mind, inner voices, name, eyes, touch, movement, following process through music, voicing, drumming, drawing, trance induction, coma touch, breathing, movement. Dreams through felt sense, gestalt parts, process following, channel changing, secondary process and dreaming body.
Rituals and ceremonies are also important. Supervision of work with others, safe touch and loving presence. Presence, IBS and movement, inner voices and emotional habits, shadowdance theater and inner archetypes, eating and digesting.
Work with body zones, organs, articulations, space, time, breathing, sensing.
No therapist, no patient-two beings encountering the wonder of their interconnectedness here and now. Is the other person sick or has he or she developed and organized life in a different way or is his or her energy circuit too expanded or too contracted? The body as anchor, organization of complex experiences becomes a habit until we attend to them from a state of mindfulness.
To be with another in silence is a great learning, to not jump in and resolve things, to be present lovingly.
To confront conflict is to learn from it – group process inwardly and outwardly. The dreaming body takes us into others´channels of perception where the sentient becomes very important, the body expresses unclaimed parts, where feelings are felt, expressed not through acting out but rather through recognition, holding them in our hands, softening, letting go.
Soft belly, open heart, letting go, dying, and rebirth, the on going flow of the creative process.
Inner child, strong emotions, jumping out of the system are helpful. Taking over, small experiments, dramatization and engagement are fun and activating.
Field awareness, roles in the field, shamanic spirit play, primary and secondary processes, dreaming up and symptoms as signposts and allies are all quite important.
Beyond principles, methods and techniques is the core issue to just let go into the flow of life as it unfolds.
Beyond ego and shadow there is just space and consciousness.
Get into the flow behind, underneath – the ground of our being.
We attract to ourselves those people we need in order to deal with unacknowledged parts, shadows, repressed parts and these people become our teachers. The thing we struggle against is our shadow and it is trying to get us to wake up, pay attention and change. The thing that perturbs us is the thing that we need to go into further to do our soul work, accepting it is there for a deeper purpose and that there is some deep core issue that it is inviting us to deal with-it is present because it has a profound desire to help us and nourish us in our lives. That core issue can only be revealed if we go through the process of working with and unfolding it.
